I'm a center controller. I respectfully ask why so many pilots flip the switch and start talking without pausing to hear if they are interrupting?

We dont care for those types as well. Wait a few seconds then check in. Not that difficult.

We all wonder the same thing. You won't find a good answer.

I wanna know why some guys speak in an artificial, deep yet sexy bedroom voice when talking on the frequency?

Fair enough and I agree, but why is that when we call controllers multiple times with no answer or regard it can be blow off as no big deal. "I was on a land line" , "coordinating with another frequency",....yet if we miss a call or two from controllers it can be an all out astrocity for some controllers. I get the protocols after 9/11, but still that means being NORDO for awhile. Plus now with all the crazies setting fire to centers, how do WE KNOW YOUR THERE? Just so you know, we have a lot of stuff going on too at times, and are not hanging on every word ATC says. Sometimes we are even on a "land line"
