Can pilots carry toiletry stuff/liquid that's over the TSA limit in their flight bags?

Based on my observations of pilots on layovers, they all pack the same things:

- white cross training sneakers from 1989
- faded Lee jeans from 1990
- a collared solid-color polo shirt with a logo from some event they attended in 19991
- a uniform belt
- cell phone holster on said belt
- tan or grey members only jacket

;-)

I'm more of a minimalist, I wouldn't even be able to fit all this stuff:

Spare tie: Skip this, if it gets really dirty on the road rinse it in the sink and iron it. Happens once every few years.

Spare set of epaulets: Skip this, how could you lose them? Plus they're expensive.

1 full Spare uniform (shirt/pants/boxers/t-shirt/socks): Skip the spares, how can you lose your uniform slacks/shirt?

I carry clean undergarmets for each day (duh!), enough pilots shirts to have a fresh one every two days, and I bring (ie wear) only one pair of quality wool-blend slacks. Slacks are black, what can go wrong with them that you can't wipe off with a washcloth? They'll last fine for four days, iron if needed.

1 pair of jeans: or shorts when it's warm

1 casual t-shirt
1 polo shirt
I do one or the other, not both.

1 pair of running shoes: I use these for casual shoes as well.
2 pairs of workout socks
2 workout shirts
I bring just one set of workout gear, rinse it in the sink and hang to dry, saves space. Bring a big ziploc to store workout gear in. Swimsuit if you think you'll use it, I normally just use my running shorts for that.

1 fleece pullover (overnight meal wear): Seasonal for me

In addition to obvious toiletries, I bring sunblock which I use if I'm flying during daylight hours (also for running, long walks, etc). If you have preferred cold medicines, pain relievers, etc carry some of those in case you need them, you might not be able to find exactly what you like at the airport gift shop.

Yes, but you have to be in uniform to clear security/KCM with it.
