Next time you have a FED in the jumpseat be sure and sip on some coffee while you taxi for takeoff. I do this almost every time and have only been called on it once. The FED "cleared his throat" and looked at the cup. I told him I had a physiological need to take a sip at that moment. I didn't hear about it again.

I'm sure that a gopro set up in cruise would not violate any FAR but might be a violation of company policy and against the wishes of your partner. There isn't much upside in doing it. I do like my circling to land in JNU video though.

You don't actually have to be there to check in there.

Oh that's how I took it too since you said you work at xjt and would like to be the one to fire him. Disregard my comment if it's the writer you were referring to.

My company's manual forbids it (assuming the picture was taken with a PED). Now I won't confirm nor deny that I've ever broken this rule, but I'm sure as hell not dumb enough to post photos on social media showing me breaking it. :)
