You know you are probably right. I will make sure and take your note and improve myself so that next time you won't have to correct me for my lack of detail in spelling american. I did that so that people would have funny things to say like you :-).

Went to school with her and worked with her at SkyWest she was gone like a week after IOE lol. Good for her but yeah being a girl helped her out big time.

Good, that's how it should be. I can't stand listening to the idiots that think they magically have a job at xyz legacy airline because their daddy works there. Shut your mouth, grow up and learn some god damn humility.

The one airline where I actually have some awesome contacts is AA. Family, friends, etc. Despite all of those internal recs, there's not a thing ANY of them can do until I get an interview. It is (supposedly) entirely HR driven. After you get an interview, the contacts help.

That's what I was thinking as well. I'm not saying this was an affirmative action situation, but what exactly did she do that would qualify as "working her @ss off"??

As opposed to all the rest of us pilots who do what? Slack off?

She did what she wanted to do... Applied and passed military flight training. Applied to Skywest and passed training. Is that hard work you bet but not any more difficult than all the others who've done it before and after her. It's good PR for AA that this happened that's all.

Good point. Would it be news worthy?

Agree, I was around then too, I saw it too. However, back then there were A LOT less outside the majority demographic pilots than now.

Good on her for achieving her goal and that's pretty cool she got to fly with her dad (a good friend of mine recently got to fly with his dad at another Legacy).
And that's awesome. Is there a link to the news story about him?
