As alluded to, it's more about what you want out of it. Which can entail what you are going to pay. So not so much as who the best dealer is, etc. The inventory can rotate around pretty good.

Pretty much, you'll get what you pay for.
You can expect to spend on a Russian model.
Or get a VEPR and mod/built it how you want it. In which case, you'll still be spending.

They aren't that hard to find. Saiga (not importable these days) are still relatively common, even unconverted. VEPR's are still coming in, both are Russian guns. Chinese guns aren't as common, but they really don't command that much money if you find a MAK-90 in sporter configuration.
