Default The TWA Museum in Kansas City

More than halfway through our road trip. Today was a great day visiting the TWA Museum. They let us into the MD80 that was purchased by employees in 1996. Had our pictures taken while seated in the cockpit. Of course I muscled mr vagabond out of the way and plunked myself into the left seat.

The volunteer docents all were either former employees or had strong ties to this great airline. We really enjoyed the personal stories they shared with us.

Thank you for preserving the history and artifacts for future generations.

I've had the pleasure of operating out of MKC over the years.
It's a real treat when they pull out the Super Connie for a run up.
Seeing those motors crank up and ohhhhh the sounds!

Long live the glory years of aviation
