I share with you some pictures of rare versions of the first US operational night fighter. Does anyone know if the equipment and weapons tested were used in combat? The collection of photos can be viewed by visiting the link below:

This one is being restored, including the radar, from its low-speed pancake crash atop a mountain in New Guinea.

Been taking 25+ years, but they are doing incredible work.

Most of those pictures were post-war. There were two airplanes kept in service for tests; I've seen the picture with the ram or pulse-jet underneath before.

NACA was the predecessor to NASA so hard to say if the rocket is a weapon or research.
