I'm more than open to face any questions you guys have.

Mr. Harris hasn't been back since about 6 minutes after editing his 2nd (last) post. I guess that offer to face questions was a little hollow.

Raise your hand if you're surprised.

Believe me, there are two main things that nobody like in aviation and it will be a skeleton in your closet forever because somebody will remember:

Pay to Fly

Scabs

Good on you getting selected. But if you want to salvage any respect that your going to get here? Pay for the program with your own money. Sorry man gofundme? You're paying a company to work for them.... paying to WORK. I get you want to fly planes. you signed up for a highly controversial program that is extremely unliked by your peers, but then you're asking for it to be free to you?
But..... All he wants to do is fly!

What about all those thousands of regional pilots who PFT'd in the 90s that are now at the majors?

In my personal opinion the fact that you don't understand why people do not like pay to play or scabs speaks volumes.

He's got a couple of YouTube videos now, but apparently doesn't have a couple of those things he might need to come back here and answer questions from actual pilots.

(Videos don't seem to be embedding per BB code, so I'll include the links, too.)

Some of us got jobs, more than one at a time actually. Then we saved, sacrificed and saved some more to earn our ratings. We didn't beg on the internet for a free ride.

Further I don't understand this program. Why would you pay 125k for your ratings when you could get them for 40k at a local flight school while working. This guy already indicates he has a degree and job. So just live frugally and press forward with your ratings. Then Cfi to 1500 then regionals then JB or whoever. Or go to the guard/active duty.

Kid at my local airport is doing this right now. He finished college last year. Got a regular job and is living at home to use his extra cash to get his ratings. He just got picked up by a guard unit but is pressing forward with his ratings until they send him off just in case he needs plan B.

I look forward to the time (7-8 years from now) when I can walk this local guys stuff into the CP's office.
