I can’t post without it requiring a mods approval. Doesn’t matter what way I try?

I approved the posts you made. I am not entirely sure what the problem is as you seem to be in the small minority of users with this issue.

I'll look around and see if there is a cure.

Anybody having this problem should contact us; we'll see if there is anything in common or whether you are just an outlier.

I am having this same issue, and posted in another thread in this forum; what is the best way to contact?

I’m also having this issue, will not let me post without moderator approval most the time. Every once in a while it seems to let me post.

Hi! I'm new here. I'm a flight controller in Brazil. I Published two books on Air Navigation. I'd like to bring some questions about ATC/Air navigation rules and I don't know where in this site I could do it.

The "Technical" forum would be the best place for that.

LOBATO 08-21-2021 06:44 AM

It seems that I don’t have privileges to post in forums. I’ll wait for my promotion. Even though, I bring a question that I think it’s a impropriety in Brazil. In AIP we can find the expression: “use only odd/even flight level between…”. Does anyone know if these expressions (even FL / odd FL) can be found in any ICAO publication?

BuckleUp 09-07-2021 05:51 PM

Adding to this because I can’t post anywhere without a block message. Is there any way I can get approval so I can ask questions?

RudderJockey 09-09-2021 11:05 AM

What do I have to do to make a new thread? I get a page that says I don't have access. I also get the same "don't have access" page when I try to view my user profile page?

Hello,
I am a new user trying to post a thread, it wont allow me.
Please fix.

The system requires 10 posts and a period of time since registration before you can create threads (you can post in existing threads). This is an anti-spam measure.

If you pmail me a brief summary of your aviation experience so I know you're a pilot I'll promote your account out of the new user mode.

Thanks for your reply, I did not know that, I am a new hire first officer at a regional, also a flight instructor previously, instructed private, instrument and commercial students. 1800 total time. 300 Turbine. This is my second career. Previously a flight attendant.

Looks like you hit ten posts already, you should be fine now.

Yep, same issue with my account as well. I can post a reply to current thread, but I can't start a new thread.

Until you have 10 posts you cannot do it. It is an anti spam filter.

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but does that mean posting 10 replies (such as this one) then unlocks the ability to post a new thread?

Exactly right.

Not able to start a new thread

For some reason I'm not able to start a new thread. When I try it it says the I don't have permission. I haven't logged into the site in quite awhile and I just reset my password. Is there a delay in being able to start a thread?

Thanks.

See the response in the posting directly above yours. 10 posts required. Anti-spamming.

Testing a reply here, I have previously created a post within my airline’s separate forum but now I am restricted. I sent a help request a while back but never got a response.

EDIT: For some reason I am also unable to access my own user profile - I am given the same “lack of privileges” message as when attempting to make a post.

EMSER 01-08-2022 07:52 AM

I’m having same issue, was able to post before, now I cannot. Can a moderator contact me as I try to contact them and it says not allowed. Edit: Of course its weird I can post here

Well looks like I can post now, weird.

I totally understand the need to cut down spam. Yet here I am, spamming a message on a thread about spam prevention, in order to boost my post count. I guess I'll go find some interesting posts to comment on!

That is exactly the suggestion. By the way, adding a post like yours is NOT spam. Massive quantities of spam automatically generated by Bots is the intended problem to be prevented. This is the purpose. It seems to work well.

Hello, I am also running into the same problem about not having ten posts and have a question I would like to ask that I have been unable to search out an answer on existing threads. Is there a mod I can pm my question/experience to that can verify it’s a legit question/thread? Thanks!

BabyYodaPilot 02-10-2022 07:52 AM

Hi, I’d like to start a new thread, but can’t? Is my account too new, or some other rule?

The rule has been 10 posts required. This has greatly cut down on spamming.

Understood, where is a good place to get started if I want advice but cannot start a new thread?

Ask a question on an existing thread under the Career Questions folder. Find something that approximately relates. It does not have to be perfect. Just not totally unrelated. Actually good advice for any comment, even if you have ability to start a new thread. Sometimes a new thread is fully justified. More often, one can find a related thread to tag onto.

I have 11 posts (this will be 12) and still can't post on career Q's...

From your very 1st post to this 12th post, one hour and 14 minutes elapsed. It may take a bit of time for the system to run updates. Try it now. If it does not allow it, post on here and someone can investigate it

new user posting problems

Hi, I am a new member and wanted to start a new topic regarding a medical issue and SI. I am not allowed to post, any suggestions?

Once you have 10 posts, you should be able to start a new topic. Or, if you can message RickAir7777, he can bypass that if he sees you are a real human. We have had spambots that invaded. The 10 posts has reduced that problem.

asmallstep4man 03-12-2022 03:37 PM

I read this thread and am also subject to the 10 post rule, so I'm not confused anymore.

I'm a long time lurker that actually has a few questions of my good people here and am hoping an admin can move me out of the new profile status. I messaged the admin who responded here, but maybe a different one may see this.

Thanks ahead of time! Pinky swear I am not a spam poster!

10 post rule

Switching airlines recently so my account is a new one. I was trying to get my 10 posts in and used up 3 of them calling someone annoying out. I know: uncool. My question is, since those three posts were deleted by a moderator, am I still net 0 posts or do those 3 count? The guy kind of is annoying to a lot of people so I think they should immediately put me at 10, but I understand how a mod would see it differently. Thank you for the consideration and answer.

Deleted posts do not count, also posts pending mod approval.
