Log-in issue
#1
When I access APC (on two different computers), I get a log-in screen which is unusual because I always click "remember me".
When I enter my username and an incorrect password, I get a page with gibberish on it.
When I enter my username with correct password, I get a "incorrect password message, this is your 1st of 5 attempts" screen....but it actually does log me on where I can access the site.
Whats the deal?

I'm having this exact same issue. NOTHING on my computer has changed in the past 2 years. I login, click "Remember Me", it tells me I've used X of 5 attempts, but while on that page I click "Airline Pilot Forums" with the error message displayed, and in the upper right corner it shows a successful login. Everytime I leave the site, it logs me off, and when I go to login the # of attempts keeps going up, 2 of 5, 3 of 5, 4 of 5, etc... What gives? Any clues?

I've been bitten by the friendly Micr$oft upgrade to IE 10 several times. If yes you could:
1. Try Compatibility mode
2. Back off to IE 9 (google fu will tell you how - I can't remember)
Recommendations:
Install CCLeaner and tell it to keep the APC cookies
Use something other than IE (Firefox, Chrome ,etc)

One of our IT guys told me the software is set to log users off after 15 minutes of inactivity, this would happen no matter what else happens. I believe "Remember Me" is just a cookie kept on your computer that fills the login form fields, it does and cannot keep anyone logged on past 15 minutes.
The "You have used X out of 5 attempts" messages are to keep crooks from hacking our accounts by making automated password guessing impractical or impossible. The system locks the suspect account for a few minutes each time you reach 5 tries, I think it is 15 minutes. It should then reset to zero tries.
Again, if you are getting bizarre behavior somehow or other, it really helps IT if you can post a screen grab of the issue and include the browser brand and version, what happens when, and what ever else you think may help them figure it out. Our IT guy changed recently and we may not get attention to these issues for a few weeks.

ALright... Been moving apartments, but here's the pics...
Here goes... So I put in my username/password, and hit submit and get this....

Then, I click on "Airline Pilot Central Forums" on the interactive link and it gives me this...

Like I said... I can login, but it keeps giving me the "nope wrong information" schpeal...
