Hi all
I see the Ek interview selection process has changed significantly as from December 07.
Day 1 now includes advanced Compass testing (skills and aptitude test) which I presume involves mathematical and reasoning tests as well as Englusj comprehension tests.
I managed to Google Compass testing (as well as "psychometric test") and came up with some great on-line samples. It seems these tests are more common in the US? as part of College entry selection tests, but here down-under, these are not commonly encountered.
Could anyone comment on this and/or provide some idea of what to expect during (my) the selection process??
BTW
Day 1 includes the aptitude testing mentioned above, centre workshop as well as a grand tour of Dubai.
Day 2 now involves psychometric testing, HR brief and panel interview.
That evening you can expect "the" phone call in your hotel room.
Day 3 consists of ICAO English testing, sim brief and assessment.
A medical is also scheduled, time permitting.
Anyone heading over to Dubai for the selection process, all the best.
May see you there..

As I am only on the verge of my Commercial Multi checkride, I'd like to wish you the best of luck. Dubai is the city I'd like to most visit and can't even fathom working for a prestigious company like Emirates. Have fun...and let me know what Dubai is like?

Hey good luck with your checkride Mike.
Take it easy and remember this is YOUR checkride, so take your time and don't let any-one push you around.
A little trick we used to do here in NZ was to put "STS" in the "comment" section of the flightplan, so that all the air traffic controllers would not give you anything unexpected or any surprises. In fact they would get a/c out of your way! Have fun and all the best.
