Default PlaneSmart!

Anybody know about or work for PlaneSmart? I've been starting to think that the 121 thing might not be quite the right lifestyle for me. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

PlaneSmart apparently flies the Cirrus. Are you talking about PlaneSense, (Alpha Flying)?

Nope. Talking about PlaneSmart. The 121 lifestyle just isn't for me. Can't stand being gone 4 and 5 days at a time away from the family. I don't have to fly a big plane to be happy, just be home with my family as much as possible. Sounds like a decent gig to me. I loved my time instructing and would mind being a "corporate pilot" now and again like the opening says.

I have no clue about the company, but if you do get on you will LOVE the Cirrus!

Not to discourage you from what could be a good company, I dont know, but there are plenty of other companies that you can be home everynight, and pay more, are more interesting that a Cirrus. At Cape Air I was home everynight.

I would just suspect that with 121 time and experience you could get a sweeter deal than that of pilots without that time.

There are a lot of good corporate (pt 91) jobs where the pilots are home most nights. Some with Fortune 100 companies. Just remember the old axiom, "The bigger the plane, the bigger the suitcase".

OnMyWay I love the Cirrus already, i got my CFII in an SR20, it's a great airplane.

KiloAlphaPapa CapeAir would be a sweet deal but I'm looking to stay in the DFW area, thats one thing that attracted me to PlaneSmart.

ZapBrannigan, yeah I'm trying to avoid having a suitcase if at all possible. I have only been on the line for a couple months but I already know it's not for me.

Thanks so far guys!
