Default Should I start applying? (Banner Towing)

I should be finished with my Commercial/Instrument in a few weeks. I was wondering if i should start writing my resume, and apply to some of the banner towing operations here in NJ. would like to get a job of some sort while I work on my CFI. Or Should I wait until i have my tempo to do any thing? I'll be getting my tail wheel soon as well.

Start applying. Tell them you would like to work in the field until you finish your license.

Networking is always good and calls are cheap enough, but I haven't seen a beach banner firm that will hire anyone with less than 50 hours tailwheel time. Also they like guys who weigh less than 220 because of the weight limitations of small tailwheel airplanes. If you really intend to do it then you will want your name in the hat early, because many companies fill out the ranks by mid-March to prepare for the season. After that they are going to say we don't need anyone, but if you keep pestering them it still may be possible but harder because it will be due to attrition at that point. Good luck!
