A few individuals from Ryanair will talk to you as a group describing the operations and culture of Ryanair. They will explain the simulator evaluation profile during the group interview as well. At this point you will be given the opportunity to ask questions.
You will be paired off with another individual for your simulator evaluation. It’s very straight forward. During the simulator evaluation you will give a full departure brief that you normally give to your first officer including a SID, power settings, emergency procedures, etc.
You will fly the SID, be given radar vectors. You will be given an engine failure of which you will accomplish the engine failure check list based on your procedures. You are not expected to use Ryanair’s procedures. CRM will be evaluated as well between you and your first officer and flight attendant. The simulator evaluator also plays flight attendant. You will accomplish a single engine approach to minimums to landing and full stop. As I said very straight forward.
You will have a separate one on one technical and personnel interview as well. This will be our opportunity to ask question that apply to your situation.
That’s all there is to it!

Ryan Air and Brookfield Aviation
I have contacted Ryan Air about flying positions, and given a contact at Brookfield Aviation ( Very hard to get a reply from with some answers to questions). Does Ryan except FAA ATP and FAA 737 type? I understand from the people at Ryan the IAA will allow a time period to apply for the appropriate IAA license.Anyone know how it works? What is the best way to get a Ryan Interview? Thanks in advance if you can help clear up these issues.

This is the European Airline right? If so how is working there, the pay? I went to their web site they said that they have bunch of hubs in europe. Also with the pay, how much of it do you keep, since tax works differnt in europe.

Not only does Ryanair expect you to have a 737 type rating, but you must be current and qualified. You will need to have glass experience too. Your answers concerning the IAA medical and license validation will be explained during the interview process.
I would recommend if offered a contract, and you want the job, make arrangements as soon as possible to take the IAA medical. Have that out of the way before your start training. Also visit with the IAA in Dublin to open a validation file. You will need to bring your log books, certificates, etc.

Ryan Question Again
Thanks for the Quick Reply:
One more question you say they expect you to be current on type? If not looking at their hiring info, they list all sorts of requirements to meet some standard from so, fo, ca? I guess my question is I have lots of glass time but not current on 737, but I am typed. Any thoughts on getting an interview?

Thanks CaptJNS
CaptJNS...thank you for that informative and timely reply...it sounds very straight forward and I'm expecting an enjoyable day! Are you flying for Ryanair and if so where are you based and how do you like the operation? Is there much movemnent between the pilot bases or do most guys stay put? Can you give me an idea of what a 'typical' 5 day roster would be like? Thanks again for your excellent reply.
