Default CFI for Iraq Air Force

Has anyone heard about any new CFI openings for the Iraqi Air Force?

Actually......from the guys that I have known that have done the job, they say it is very rewarding. Just a matter of opinion I guess.

Hmm, this might be interesting, but I just wonder how much training they would give us for a slot? Or would they have us do pilot screening jobs?

Civilian CFIs aren't eligible. Had a buddy that looked into it.

Not entirely true...current CFI's include a few with no mil experience. Right now they are serving as sim instructors. However, for furure hires a military instructor background is highly desired.

Where can I find information about this? Is there a resource out there to find this out?

From what I've heard there wont be any more hiring for awhile. WESTAR has the contract for civilian instructors. You can start by checking them out.

There are other flying opportunities as well. Check out Dynamic Aviation. King Air drivers or turbine experience is required there. 4 months in theater then 3 off. 16-18K per month while deployed. I went through the interview process with them a while back and was impressed, but ended up passing for other reasons.

QinetiQ Home, inspired solutions for a changing world
Rotary wing GROUND instructors even.
With the requirements that they list it seems that it would be hard for a civilian to break into this job - but not impossible.
