Air Force One
I saw a special on Air Force One not too long ago and it got me thinking, how does one become a pilot for Air Force One? And can any branch apply for the position or just Air Force guys? Just curious.

Sometimes USAF Spec Ops MC-130 pilots get to fly Air Force One. But only when the president rapels across a wire from a 747 to a C-130 in mid air.

You must have seen "Interceptor," featuring the supersonic dog-fighting F-117, equipped with Air-Air Mavericks. I especially enjoyed the ability of the F-117s in the C-5 (with Navy-style folding wings) to be refueled by the gas-station-style fuel hoses (any C-5 guys out there? You can vouch for that, right?), and the ability to be air-dropped in said Nighthawk to do battle with arch-villian Jurgen Proctnau, a formerly respected German actor.
Estee:
I particularly despised AF-1 for:
1. Bullet-deflecting aluminum (re: gun-battle in the cargo hold, where bullets bounce off the skin of the jet and emit sparks).
2. The ability to walk from the forward cargo pit to the aft, unimpeded. Apparently the director's experience with airplanes is limited to Revell models. Guess he didn't know the WING BOX and body landing gear would be in the way.
3. I loved how the F-15s flew formation as the Boeing descended through the weather--in half-mile trail.
