Avianation.com is way better than 350.

I just let my subscription end on Climbto350.com. I have been a member consistently for over 2 years now. 90% of the jobs are overseas in less desirable countries. Haven't tried Avianation yet though.

Wouldn't you be taking those odd jobs from furloughed co-workers looking for anything?

Not sure, to be honest, I was simply making an observation that most of the jobs on that site require 1000's and ATP as their listed mins. Im pretty sure being out of currency is going to kill a lot of us till the next hiring wave...sigh

PS, love your signature line, I have a buddy with a Pitts 12 with the M-14 and you should hear that puppy roar....its like music

I paid for a 350 membership and it found me a job flying a 172 around the country for over $60k/yr.

Then again, I'm pretty sure none of the "former jet-fliers" on furlough would lower themselves to such a position

I know of many furloughed "former jet-fliers" who would love to have such a job.

What you can do is find a friend who has a climbto350 account and just use their password, or go halfies with some friends. If your nice enough I can lend you my buddies username/password.

Well, no. You are suggesting a contradiction where none exists. If there are ads for contract flying, they are free for the grabbing by anyone qualified.....including my furloughed coworkers (which may or may not be interested for a number of reasons). However, if my airline is offering extra flying, the trips are not up for grabs by my furloughed coworkers (that were obviously interested). As for the thousands of other furloughed pilots, they may or may not be interested in contract flying gigs. If they are, they are free to bid for those jobs. After all, there is a reason why it is called a job market.

Frankly, your line of reasoning is abject nonsense.

Not at all. The actual question is that are you just the pot calling the kettle black? Next time, perhaps you should think a little more carefully before posting (and implicit name-calling)
