Well, no. You are suggesting a contradiction where none exists. If there are ads for contract flying, they are free for the grabbing by anyone qualified.....including my furloughed coworkers (which may or may not be interested for a number of reasons). However, if my airline is offering extra flying, the trips are not up for grabs by my furloughed coworkers (that were obviously interested). As for the thousands of other furloughed pilots, they may or may not be interested in contract flying gigs. If they are, they are free to bid for those jobs. After all, there is a reason why it is called a job market.

Frankly, your line of reasoning is abject nonsense.

Not at all. The actual question is that are you just the pot calling the kettle black? Next time, perhaps you should think a little more carefully before posting (and implicit name-calling)

You taking an extra job means one less job out there for the many pilots that are looking. And as everyone knows, there are a lot more pilots trying to get a job that there are jobs to be had. I am just asking you to have a little respect/sympathy for everyone else that are struggling to make ends meet and just enjoy your days off from your current job.

I doubt that you're "just asking" me anything. You started with the name calling and accusations so don't be hypocritical and start talking to me about respect.

Again, it is a job market so I am not taking anything from anyone. Anyone qualified can bid for those jobs. As for respect and sympathy, there is no issue as me looking for extra work in an open job market is not disrespectful or unsympathetic to furloughees......not even close. There is plenty of easy money to be had from extra flying at my employer and I am absolutely respectful and sympathetic by not picking up that extra flying.

How is me asking you hypocritical? You see it differently that myself and a lot of others, but you are entitled to your own opinion.

"a lot of others"? I doubt you have some kind of inside word on a consensus opinion. You are also entitled to your opinion. As for hypocrisy, check your PM's.

Climbtonowhere is a scam website and I used to be a member. It's about 99.9% foreign stuff and in weird in places like the Zulu nation and Tanzania, with random jobs along with recycled posts. Think about it, it's like the only website that pilots know for finding jobs. That means if JOE Redneck from Wyoming needs a summer pilot there will be about a billion applicants. Or if it's actually possible for a corp flight department NOT TO BE ABLE TO FIND ANY PILOTS before posting on climb to nowhere. Do some networking, that's certainly going to get you a job quicker.

I don't need "inside word on a consensus opinion". I know plenty of people that feel the same way as I do. Have you never shared the same idea with a group of people before? Or do I need to take a poll and show you numbers for you to believe me?

You acted as though you had a consensus on this forum and you do not.

Look, how many times did Radial have to repeat it to you? It is a job market and taking a job from the OPEN market as extra work isn't stealing from furloghed pilots and there are exactly zero ethical questions involved. Now quit hijacking this thread with your far reaching whacked out reasoning. If you want, start your own thread on the topic and quit your whining.
Sheesh!

Radial,
I don't think 350 is worth the cost, especially now days.

You're saying two different things. There are these people that you know and now you think you have a consensus on this thread. If you feel the need to prove yourself, take the poll....no skin off of my back.
