Mountain Air Cargo is hiring FOs for ATR
#21

Does anyone know if they hired FO's here? I have seen several posts from well qualified pilots on here that says they didnt even get a call back. I applied (hovering on the low end ~1100 hours, 160 multi) and got the standard thanks for your resume, which i figured. Wouldnt it be prudent for an op like MAC to hire someone like myself? I mean realistically, they're going to train some furloughed regional guy, who, once he gets called back to his/her airline, will jump ship. From a business standpoint, don't they realize that a guy like myself, who will have thousands of competitors once the market stabilizes and hiring begins (whenever this may be), will practically have to stay their regardless of qualification. Or do they just like to train people for a 6 month stint? Sorry for the rant guys, I'm just tired of instructing like many of us grunts...

No luck here. I applied (horrible application website btw) a few weeks ago and havent heard anything. Its strange bc ive seen them advertise on 350 quite a bit lately. You would think they have enough apps by now?

Hey all,
I actually just got a slot with MAC this week, but am awaiting a class date. I think it's supposed to be mid next month or so. Anyway, they ARE hiring, but have a TON of resumes/applicants. I was initially interviewed for an ATR F/O position, but expressed a great deal of interest in the van and they actually ended up giving it to me.
I wouldn't take it personal if they don't call, I am seriously still having a hard time believing they called/hired me with the competitiveness of the industry right now. The market is simply CRAZY saturated.
I am a recently "furloughed" (company shut down) corporate guy with roughly 3 years of freight/135 exp, including prior van time. Sitting right around 4000 TT with over 2000 of it night, 3,800+ PIC.
