That's not how you say it. Do you use Jets Blue for JB as well? It's Gojet. There is no space and no s. Just a tip, in case you butcher it on the resume...

My dreams of flying an airliner are going up...

.. in smoke.

Guess I'll just be a truck driver. At least I'll make more money than a first officer. Probably make more than a captain at a regional too.

The important question is, Is your glass of gin half full or half empty?

I agree with Joepa. This pessimism is not going to get you anywhere. Things ARE starting to pick up. Everyone thought the world was going to end last fall, and now people are putting money back into the market. Certainly airlines are going to take a while to recover, but cargo is slowly coming back.

Where do you get your data ? With what's ahead for United, that many more qualified pilots are probably going to get dumped on the streets by the turn of the new year.

Did you want extra strength Kool-Aid or regular Sir ?

G'Luck with the new job !

All kidding aside, recovery and subsequent growth in aviation/aerospace typically lags the U.S. Real GDP by 12 to 18 months.

It will be a slow climb...

Had to fly outta MKE yest and had booked a late flight, but arrived at the airport early to try to get on the earlier one but both flights out of MKE yesterday were oversold, one by 3 and one by 6, not sure if the business is picking up per se, but people are obviously starting to travel again, thats a small but good first step for the recovery of our industry...

I think Oshkosh travelers might have had somthing to do with this though
