Default Security Problem!

Be aware that the application form that's asking for your SSN and other personal data is not secure. Also there is NO privacy policy stating how they protect or use the information you provide.

Good catch, a little tinkering on that site and one could view the database, if one were so inclined.

I just called Skylink and mentioned this to them and they were very receptive and said that this would be addressed with thier IT person.

Still no change to the online application at Skylink.

A quick search at the DOT site only references Skylink requesting charters by Polet Airlines. No record of a 121 Certificate application.

As noted earlier, the database is accessible via the web (i.e. NOT encrypted or linked to a secure certificate). There is also NO privacy policy on that site or referenced to the application.

The online application requests information that could be key in identity theft.
