However, that wasn't the point of what I said. The point was know some basics about the aircraft you are about to apply/interview for or don't expect to get the job.

"Swing and a miss"
Not even close. Just advice from someone who hires pilots on a regular basis. Take it, don't take it's up to you. I just won't hire someone who tells me they want to fly my Challenger 603.

Is the 603 the same type as the CRJ? Sorry, couldn't resist!
I spoke to someone in the flight department last week and was told they had not called anyone in yet for an interview. The people involved in the process were very busy all this week and she wasn't sure what kind of timeline they were working on to fill this position. If anyone was wondering, they have 2 Challengers. I think one is a 604 and the other is a 300.

Like I said before, I was trying to recall what they said on their web site in the app process. I think the actual question was if you had a Challenger type. I never talked to anyone, just filled out the online app. As far as I knew they were flying 172's. I am not a Challenger guy but a Hawker guy, and I really don't pay attention or care about Challenger model numbers. It's a short, fat RJ! Personally, I wouldn't want to work for a dumb sh*t like you. If you wont hire someone because they say the wrong "model number" in an interview then you are definitely lacking in management skills! This can be proven by the fact you are "hiring pilots on a regular basis". Apparently no one hangs around long! I've flown with and worked with guys with your mentality, and they can make a good job miserable. Lighten Up!!!

I haven't heard anything yet. I hope to though. Hershey's is a "hometown" company for me as I was born and raised nearby and am at a point in my life where moving back would be easy. My job search would end with being hired at Hershey's.

I'm sure changing your Avatar will do the trick! Thats kind of funny. As far as your job search ending...I've fallen into that trap before. I've been lulled into thinking that I could happily retire at Employer XXX. Nowadays, I think you always have to keep your eyes and ears open for the next move.

Just trying to add a little humor to the thread!
As far as ending the job search goes, I know how things can change. When I was in pilot training, all the instructors wanted to get hired by Eastern or Pan Am. Where are they now? More recently, I remember some squadronmates giving a guy grief for not leaving Netjets for American. He is now pretty senior at NJ and two of the guys giving him grief are still furloughed from AA.

Well then, out of curiousity. Earlier posters on this thread got a quick no thank you. I never heard a thing after I put my app. in. Do you think this means I have a chance of an interview, or are they just overwhelmed with applications from people off of this message board
