You don't wanna be "that guy". Oh... and don't bring your knee-board or E6B to your IOE.

18-24 months with the emphasis toward the latter.

And for the other guy, holding a line after 6 months does not guarantee you a good commute. There is no such thing as a good line at Lakes, and many are super un-commutable. Maybe one of your internal recs can get you a copy of the bid packet so you can see for yourself.

Too many people on this site paint a rosy picture of Lakes. You really need to do some hard research and figure out what you're getting into, especially if you're going to be commuting from the east coast.

For some people, yes. It is worth it. Others, not so much. It all depends on each individuals situation.

Yep exactly right....

I have been at Lakes for almost a year and now looking to leave....Doesn't look like I will upgrade till at least the summer time and the QOL/pay here is horrible. I will probably leave in a few months before upgrading to go somewhere with a much better pay and QOL. I came here originally with the quick upgrade idea but decided to me personally its not worth it...

I have been at Lakes for 21 months and am considering leaving before the upgrade also. It all depends on when the mandatory recall comes from my other company.

A schedule will probably have 12 days off and about 78 credit and you will be at guarantee after a few cancellations. The most days off anyone will ever have is 14 if you don't have carry in days. However, since you are over 10 days off there is probably a 90% chance especially right now you WILL be JUNIOR MANNED.
