Default Eagle drops it's hiring mins to 800/100

You may not heave heard, but the Eagle hiring mins are now 800TT/100ME w/250 PIC. They are hiring 550 this year. It doesn't sound like a bad time to start there and have some immediate seniority.

As a current airline pilot, the minimums should be at least double that.

Where does it say that? Airline apps and Americaneaglecareers.com still show 1000/100.

Too bad they won't hire anyone with much more time than that who hasn't flown in 6 months.

Here comes another debate on if 800 is enough experience.

Considering the experience still on the street, I'd say it's not. Eagle should be aiming for a different crowd, but like any other airline, they won't. It would cost too much money.

(No, I never applied / interviewed there)

Quick! Go make a buncha laps in the pattern with a piper cub! Cheap and easy and you'll be totally prepared for 121 flying!

which is the reason the 1500 hour rule wont solve anything IMO. If they want to make the airlines safer make the training harder with higher wash out rates. Another 500 hours in the pattern isn't going to help anyone be a better 121 pilot.
