Any update on Allegiant growth plans? Time to upgrade? Retirements, etc...

anybody work for Allegiant now? whats it like? pros/cons?

little to no growth this year; however it is confirmed we're hiring 18 for an April 11 class. I'd say subject to change though; keep an eye on oil prices. As ususal, inside rec. needed for an interview. Upgrades will be almost totally dependent on growth; very few age 65 retirements in the pipeline. Current upgrade time 3.5 years or so but probably at least 5-7 years for new-hires. Great job if you live in base; not so good if you commute as everything is built around out-and-back day trips and not always in blocks of days that you would like to see if you commute. Typically half a class gets LAS and half gets FL; maybe one or two odd assignments to one of the smaller bases. It seems like right now IWA is the most senior base for F/O's.

Good luck to everyone!

Inside rec an absolute must?? How can I get one ha?!?!? Do they have any affiliates? If so would an internal from one of them suffice?? I've got an internal for almost every other Major but I dont' know anybody from allegiant. Advice?

I guess you could take a vacation, jump seat around a bit on them, and check out the operation. When I get to a good place, I will not begrudge a person for doing what they must - as long as they do it tactfully. Just a suggestion off the top of my head - FWIW. Good luck.

Ps just realized you are military - sorry my suggestion won't work will it?

JimmyJr3 03-08-2011 11:41 AM

no jump seating for me : (

How's strict are they on the ATP requirement? I meet every other qual and would be willing to go get it after I knew I was hired. Will they interview and offer the job contingent on you getting one before class?
