Well trying to figure that out prior to class is like (as I am sure many others would agree) picking out the winning number is roulette the first time around. But here is what I know... the e-mail I received from HR a few weeks ago said it was going to be a -900 class. I was skeptical and so were some current Mesaba folk. I forget which thread it is buried in but someone came out and said the vacancy bids were out and it looked like current Mesaba guys grabbed up the -900 slots leaving a bunch of Saab slots. So if I had to take a guess now as to what the class is going to be, i'm thinking Saab

IF you're going to MN, there's no way its going to be the 900. PNCL runs all the RJ classes out of MEM. I believe you fine gents will be placed on the Saab in either LGA, BOS or IAH.

BOS and IAH are Colgan bases correct? I think we are being hired onto the Mesaba certificate right now so that would mean Mesaba bases right? And I was under the impression that Mesaba was still doing their own jet training seeing as they have all their own sims for yet and that aspect of it was not quite integrated yet. I could be (and most likely in some aspect) wrong though

Mesaba training for the Saab, 200 and 900 are all in Eagan, MN. That being said, there a lot of FO's on the Saab in MSP, DTW, and MEM that want off the Saab so I wouldn't plan on a jet spot if your hired by Mesaba. If you have any specific question feel free to PM me.

The last vacancy 11-05 I believe it was showed all the new hire slots in LGA SAAB, unless there's some magic I'm not aware of that allows the company to move the slots around, that's what it will be. The 900 won't see any new hires for awhile I'd guess with the unblended payrate of the new contract. With the blended rate there was no monetary reason to move.
