First thing that happened is JS from Mesaba was the new CEO then he was replaces by an all Delta management team.
Just my .02 cents.

Yes I was at 9E through out the whole thing and that is how I saw everything go down. You may argue what I said but if you look at what happened following SMs departure it makes a lot of sense what I said.

After the Comair pres was ousted after our Christmas ice storm debacle in 2004ish, Former Delta execs started showing up.. Starting with Fred Butrell, and I think it became a revolving door of Delta people...( I left before all of that)
All these airline execs play musical chairs with airline jobs... Unfortunately very few are any good at what they do....

rumors have it 50 got calls for interviews. It also sounds like that may be all that are called for quite a while. No magic formula to who gets called. Some have no/ little connections to company and little time, others have a lot of time and a lot of connections....some get called some don't. I have knocked on about every door I know there many times, family on island, volunteer there, 3 recs, a lot of time and no call.
I am hopeful a call will come soon! But not going to hold my breath for one. Good Luck! Even those that are there don't really know any secrets.

Bro,
You want to leave Atlas for HAL? I thought I read recently about HAL pilots leaving FOR Atlas (may have been FedEx). Is it bad over there, because most of the pilots I've talked with seem to enjoy Atlas.
I'm trying to work at HAL and I didn't get anything positive or negative from the latest window. I travelled to PHNL a few weeks ago and was able to get a couple of recommendations from line pilots. Best time ever bro!
I probably need some more experience but I think eventually i hope to make it in when the competition is less steep in the next two yrs. I heard of guys flying inter-island medivac stuff who made it in without flying anything larger than turboprops. Maybe that's the ticket.
Peace
