Default US Airways informing interviewees

Does anyone who recently interviewed at US Airways know how long it took to left you know if you were hired?

Did those that were hired get a phone call? How long after the interview?

Did you get a letter if denied?

Have a couple of friends that interview and the company said two weeks, just curious.

I was told 2 weeks also, but I don't really know anyone who has been told no yet even though I've heard they are hiring at less than 50%.

Boy how things have changed here. When I interviewed way back when, I was given the congratulations speech literally within 5 minutes of the panel. I just don't understand making people wait. They know whether or not they want you as soon as you walk out the door.

Yeah, it's nearly impossible to get the job offer nowadays. If you are one of the lucky few, you get to enjoy food stamp wages and barely any benefits including small retirement funds. This industry is a joke!

This a rumor, but it came from an east pilot who has a friend in HR.

I received a call the next day to tell me I was hired. A week later I went in and did the pre-employment paperwork and peed in the cup. Still waiting on a class date, though.

Do you guys realize they just published a bid showing 180+ more pilots than they have positions available? Parker is going to furlough because he's apparently not "on board." Don't shoot the messenger.
