Default This "Hiring News" Section

This section is GREAT, but it has a downside. I can't remember if it has always been here, but in the past we would find most hiring info under the "Regional" or "Major" or whatever sections. The benefit of course is that all the rank and file guys/gals that frequent those populated sections would see a Thread about hiring at their respective outfit and chime in with invaluable knowledge. Now all we have is a bunch of other people in the same boat also looking to get hired. Most others with the high quality inside scoop likely wouldn't frequent this section, because they are already hired. Just my theory. Anyone agree - or disagree? Moderators? If we posted a question about hiring in a main section would it be allowed to stay there as a link indefinitely?

No, definitely not from what I've seen. They just moved an Alaska Airlines thread over to this part from the Majors forum...

But why? Is it really necessary to have a separate forum? I agree with sulkair.

Meanwhile you got guys in the Regional forum digging up deceased 5 year old threads about Eagle hiring...

As for this... The plus side is even if your post in the regional forum gets moved, the link remains so guys over there can check it out still. That said, I personally think its fine how it is. The information is there for the taking and you can easily figure out who works where. Send them a PM if you have questions. I'm pretty sure they'll respond (I would). Career hand-holding is more of a JC thing anyways.

Best of luck.

I like having a separate Hiring section so that I can take a quick glance and see who is hiring, without having to filter through the Major section (which can lose threads quickly).

Just my $0.02
