Dunno about competitive mins... but generally they are looking for: 5000TT, 2000 Jet/turbine time. (they might be 2500). Obviously guys with heavy/international time probably have a better shot. Internal rec's are very very helpful. There are guys being hired without them, but it also gives you a leg up. Guys with less than 5000TT with military backgrounds or LOTS of turbine time have a shot as well.

If the application is free...what is the problem? Send it in and let the HR/Pilot Recruiters decide if you are qualified.

And keep updating your application frequently if you are flying a lot...like a lot of you RJ drivers tend to do.

Thanks for the advice! I know you're right but I feel under qualified...I'm sitting at around 2500 TT, of which about 1700 is turbine. I would really like to get on with an ACMI carrier but I know there are many guys/gals out there with a lot more time.

One thing I would like some advice on...I am in the Army Guard, but I don't fly for them. How favorably is non-aviation military service looked upon at carriers like Kalitta, Atlas, Southern Air, etc.? Also, how do military guys work their schedule if drill falls in the middle of the month?

Off topic but, how long will Atlas be accepting applications? I should have my ATP next month.

"for the foreseeable future" is what I was told by a Management person about a month ago...we are going to pick up the hiring in the new year to about 12 per class, every three weeks.

Good luck.
