Any info on pay? Looks like the positions are ANC-based?

Anyone out there fly/know someone at Era? Curious about schedules, QOL, upgrade potential.....APC is a few months outdated. Looks like they furloughed at some point but obviously all have been recalled.

I know a few pilots who fly for all the companies certificate. Well respected airline in Alaska across all certificates and truly a top notch operation. I know the 1900 guys based in ANC didn't make very much 23K a year but I don't know if that has changed. For the pilots based at out stations they do 2 week on/off rotations while the ANC based actual ERA Alaska certificate pilots work a schedule and are generally home every night. This is the company I am trying to get on once I get my commercial in September although I am looking at the Hageland certificate. From what friends have said for Alaska based operations it's always good to know someone on the inside.

Thanks for the info Ray...sounds like a great operation. How far does 25k get you in AKC? Probably the same as it does anywhere else eh? It would be beautiful though.

No not nearly as far unless you're comparing here to PHNL. You might be able to get a 1 bd, 1 bath for a G in the least desirable parts of ANC, after gas and a DiGiorno's you're pretty much tapped. Oh did you read about the 133" of snow we got this winter here in Anchorage? I know you're smart but that's 11 feet at sea level dude! Stay in America specialK

25K in ANC is about enough for you to live in one of native drunk tank shelters. Don't quote me on this but I happened to run into a former ERA (flew on Hageland cert) and he said as a 207 PIC his salary was up to 43K a year. FO's were paid 500 a week on the caravan until the had the hours to switch over. Not sure if there's any validity to it or not but I was actually shocked. Not sure if BE1900 guys make more flying out of the bush or not because it is less "appealing".

25k is just first year. Pay is hourly with a 60 hour guarantee. After 6 months newhires go to hourly rate. 2nd year FO's can make 40k. Cpt's start out at $75 hour with 60 hr guarantee. Pilots fly 700-900 a year. 10-12 days off a month. 20 days vacation a year. Home every night. Good company to work for. This is all the Era side. The Hageland stuff is different company, different attitude and mentality. Hageland guys make more money but that is because they fly 100+ hours a month. They are also 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. Wanna be an airline pilot go to Era. Wanna be a bush pilot and fly Cessna's in and out of native villages all day? Then go to Hageland. Get the drift??

Quite a bit less than most other places. Everything in ANC is more expensive. Gas, food, etc.
