Got the same email late last night too. I'm hoping they are sending this out because they intend to hire via a brand new round using pilot recommendations first. Remember all the debate about the week long application window being open such a short time? I've applied during 2 other windows over the last few years and never gotten any response. When I log into the careers site it now says "not selected" next to the last app posting. I'm hoping that they are flushing as a previous person theorizes. Stay positive until the last possible moment! Good luck guys.

Your theory makes more sense. My internal rec person says they started accepting internal recs on Saturday. I find it hard to believe that they have such a small window of 5 days, from the time the internal rec started til the time they send out the "no thanks"

Silver02ex,

Also, My internal rec people are telling me they are accepting internal recs from Dec 1 to 10th - so that window isn't even closed yet.

I wonder if anyone has received an invitation to interview based on that last app window/posting?

I said this already in another thread. The job posting about a month ago was not supposed to be on the web. That is why it was up so short. There is an internal recommendation window from the 1st through the 10th. Once that window closes the calls will go out. Unfortunately until the majors start hiring, nobody will get a job at allegiant without an internal recommendation.

Any idea how many they plan to hire this next round, or how many they want to put in a pool?

Not sure. There is a class of about 14 going through now and a class of about 10 that will start in early January. These guys interviewed last year and have been in a pool. After these two classes the pool will be empty. The recommendation window from the 1st through the 10th will be for future classes. I would imagine late January or early February.

We are getting 2 more 757 that will be on property in a couple of months and the airbus coming shortly after that. Rumor is there might be a good bit of hiring in 2013. We are going to attempt to start international in late 2013 (Mexico, Caribbean). There is also a rumor of A320's in May. The airbus is a mix of growth and replacement of the MD-80.

Most of the growth will be happening on the east coast. Management has been saying most new hires will be going to Florida. This last class 8 went to SFB, 3 or 4 in PGD, and 1 in PIE. We have guys in SFB that have been trying to get to the west coast for a year.

CATIII - thanks for posting. Did you apply to Allegiant in October? If so it appears they did use that short app window to make calls.

If you don't mind - what does your resume look like? Did you have an internal rec as well?

Congrats on HAL!
