We are getting 2 more 757 that will be on property in a couple of months and the airbus coming shortly after that. Rumor is there might be a good bit of hiring in 2013. We are going to attempt to start international in late 2013 (Mexico, Caribbean). There is also a rumor of A320's in May. The airbus is a mix of growth and replacement of the MD-80.

Most of the growth will be happening on the east coast. Management has been saying most new hires will be going to Florida. This last class 8 went to SFB, 3 or 4 in PGD, and 1 in PIE. We have guys in SFB that have been trying to get to the west coast for a year.
This is a very good summation of what is going on at Allegiant now. Bear in mind that Allegiant also went on record not even 6 months ago saying "no hiring in 2013".

Things change very quickly and always have.

Good news, must have missed that brief opportunity. I thought the last application window opened over a year ago.

I'm slated for the Jan 4th class. There's suppose to be 16 of us in class. I deferred the November class date due to my wife having our first child, and I interviewed last October 2011.

For reference:
I have 5,000TT, 3,500 PIC turbine, SA227 type rating, check airman, training captain, sim/ground instructor, and two internal recommendations. No previous 121 or jet time.

Nice Glad you got a slot. If you get a chance to post the class brake down once you start that would be great.

Bases and Equipment especially.

I have an internal rec and did Not get the email that it sound like a lot did.

We're all going to the MD80 and everyone is headed to one of the four Florida domiciles. That I know almost 100%.

Default Allegiant ‘No Thanks’ in 2023

I see this same email from Allegiant on the forum back in 2012. Anyone else receive this email from Allegiant lately? Any recent hires care to share what hours and experience they brought to Allegiant?

Dear XXXX,

Thank you for taking the time to apply to the First Officer position with Allegiant.

We have made a thorough review of your application, and as we have to make tough choices between highly competitive candidates, you have not been selected to continue in our interview process at this time. As a reminder, you are eligible to reapply in 6 months from the date of your initial application.

As an Employer of Choice, we thank you again for your interest in Allegiant and we wish you much success in your future professional endeavors.

Sincerely,
Allegiant Talent Acquisition - Pilot Recruitment Team

“Employer of Choice”. For some for some reasons, yes. But I bet the big 3 would have a lot who would disagree with this statement.
