I’ve noticed many new openings in Colorado and Wyoming lately for AMRG. As an air Ambo outfit that is having real difficulty finding pilots in the pay raising environment of my company, I can’t imagine finding people in a pay/benefit reduction environment. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Probably hiring minimums will go down attracting new pilots desperately seeking a job to gain flight time to move on.
Sometimes I'll go to the airport and watch a few landings. Some of the air ambulance planes take half of the 7300 foot runway before touching down, then the long taxi back.

That's partly because company prohibits the use of thrust reverse. That being said, we do have a habit of gobbling up runway anyway.

2. Two to three times the average for hours flown per year - about 500 is the average
3. Management that lives in an 'ivory tower' - full of pride and our way or the highway
4. CP that is very arrogant and self-righteous. No one who knows him likes him. Including the medical crews.

Guardian Flight vs Cargo Carrier for retiree
Hello, I have a conditional offer from Guardian, as a 56 year old retiree, not looking to go to the majors, any perspectives on QOL of Air Ambulance flying vs Cargo at say Southern, or Atlas? My commute to work is only two hours driving with Guardian, a one week on, one week off schedule, Southern is based out of CVQ, 17 days on, and 12 or so off. I have no experience with either. Thanks for the assistance or words.
