Current reserve time ERJ Seattle
I know reserve times vary from time to time, but was wondering if anyone has any information on how long to expect to spend on reserve once finished with initial training out of Seattle on the jet. Also, how much flying can be accomplished while on reserve.

To me quality of life is important and I don’t want to commute. So just going to wait it out, pick up open time as I can and when I get a line I get a line. Not much I can do right now.

Bro I have a buddy that’s at Mesa now flying like 10 hours a month on reserve and he’s been on reserve for the past 3 months and probably will be on reserve for the next few..

I was pretty fortunate. I finished OE in early March. Then training built my trips for consolidation the rest of March and all of April. Short call reserve in May and I got a line in June. So I had just one month of reserve.

Really? How? One of the last FO's to get a line for October was a December '18 hire and their classmates are still being assigned reserve.

If you're flying 10 hours a month here at Mesa then you're doing something wrong or you're full of it. Plenty of flying on reserve and Line 3 months out of IOE in IAD. DFW and PHX are gonna be a bit of a wait for the line however. Do captains sit reserve for long in Seattle on the 175 as well or is that a different story?
