I don't think he said he was typed on the 450, only that he was a co-pilot on it. That's why I asked the question. Maybe he was able to slide into the job, but has no prospect to upgrade, or get a type in it.

But if he is, I'm thinking that as well. If he has the chance, upgrade in the 450, or is typed, get some turbine PIC, and more importantly make A LOT more money in the process.

I can guarantee you that just about EVERY Gulfstream co-captain makes more than an RJ pilot. And in some cases, has a better QOL. Not ALL the time, but mostly.

to me, a regional is a regional.

i view those 3 as the top of the line, but to me it makes the difference of if you request a kleenex or a tissue

That makes more sense. There are G-IV, G-V guys outthere doing contract work, they can make as much as 1500 USD a day. Obviously to get those jobs you'll need some serious int'l experience.

If you live in Cal then SKW is you best option. LOTS of Cal bases on both a/c and don't fixate on the first year pay to much. They all suck! Ours is going up here real soon but with our work rules you do just fine your first year. Also remember that holding a line at SKW making 22/hr you'll make more than sitting reserve at Horizon, which you will do for almost a year (35 day bid period for guarantee lowers your yearly income quite a bit ($29 x 75 = x 10.43 bid periods per year = $22,683). Plus, sitting reserve doesn't put to many hours in your log book. At SKW you might sit reserve for 2 months after that expect to put 80+ block per month in your book with around $27-$30K in income your first year and around $45K your second.

BTW, XJT has LAX & ONT as well.

Your wrong! At horizon it is a 35 day bid but min guarantee for a reserve line holder is 86.00 Hours (92.00 for line holder) therefore 29.00 X 86 = 2494. So Horizon is the highest paying, you are right about spending a year on reserve though. Horizon is hireing the website is wrong just they wont be doing alot! So apply if you want.

OK, so it's 900/10.4=86 which is equal to 75x12. I see and I stand corrected.

Thank you.

XJT won't be running a new hire class until April. That's about all the info I can give to you right now. So far I have no complaints with the company, and we have a good contract (regional standards).

If you live in Fresno, I would be looking at SKYW. As far as I know, their KFAT base is still relatively junior.
