The last lineholder in Boise for the upcoming bid was hired in January of 2014, and the next person down the list was hired in February.
I've heard that Boise is supposed to get a couple more lines of flying beginning the bid after next, so that could move the most junior lineholder to a March hire date.

Is there an open source place to find the pilot contract? I'm just interested to get an idea about some of the bennies like 401k, health insurance, profit sharing, etc. Or is anyone willing to educate me? My google-fu uncovers a ton of different answers, but nothing definitive.

Profit sharing is done two ways. If we meet certain criteria (on time performance and customer satisfaction from surveys), we can earn up to a $100 bonus every month, which is paid out quarterly.
There's also a bonus at the end of a given year that's based on a mix of Horizon meeting certain criteria and how much profit Alaska Air Group made that year. This number varies every year, but it's been in the 8-9% range for Horizon the last couple of years.
Someone with better access to the rumor mill might have another answer, but I'd say most of that hiring would just be attrition. I think the current plan is for something like 90 upgrades over the next year, and since we're losing FO's to other airlines at a decent clip, 200 pilots is probably just to keep staffing at the current levels. Horizon is taking delivery of one plane next year, and I believe we still have several options with Bombardier, but I've heard nothing about adding more airplanes, so there's a good chance those options will either expire or be used to replace some of our older Q400's that have leases expiring and will be approaching timing out within a few years.

The 401k is a $1 for $1 match, up to 6% of your pay, and the insurance is a choice of a PPO, a high deductible PPO, or an HSA. I'm on the PPO, which runs me about $15/mo (for excellent coverage), and will increase to about $24/mo in 2015. Since the PPO is expensive for the company, they're trying all kinds of stuff to get people to switch to the high deductible PPO or HSA.

Medical after 30 days. I think the 401k is something like 60 ish, first day of the month following 60 days of employment or something along those lines.
