I'm planning on enjoying his liver with a nice Chianti and some fava beans later

I feel like you may have been serious.....LOL:D

I rolled down to WalMart and stocked the pantry and fridge. Even bought a blender for margaritas and smoothies. Staybridge had a BBQ grill and I used that too with my classmates.
In all, by having the ability to buy - and cook- my own quality, healthy food I lost 12 pounds while in training.

After staying at the Lodge for recurrent I can't imagine doing it for initial. Chow there is low grade Sysco right from the can, on par with a mid grade cafeteria at best. Like the pseudo eggish looking things they put out at a Hampton. But alas, it's free at the Hampton (and cheap at the Lodge) so pilots will gobble down the refined processed carbs and mystery meat like it's the last can of gruel in the apocalypse. In the case of the Lodge it just might be.

I had a two room suite, (living room room had fold out couch). I had my family lived with me while I was there and even took the kids to Disneyworld. Try doing that at the lodge.

Still waiting on how everything is getting better here hyperboy.

Hyberboy doesn't even have the stones to address or debate people's inquiry on how things are getting better. No response. No examples of how things are better today than a year or two ago. Sad. Weak.

That's because there are no such examples. Things just continue to get worse here while our peers are making huge advances. #keepsgettingbetter

Did you ask him how he likes sharing ear funk, head grease, hair gel, sneeze particles, boogers, germs and food with the other 400 190 capt we have here?

Personally I use my own. This guy falls into the catagory of FLICA is a benefit the company doesn't need idiots....

You're not a Clorox the cockpit guy are you? I just want to remind my coworkers that - although I didn't major in microbiology or virology- it just takes one. One germ. One. The size of a micron. So short of sealing up the cockpit airtight and heating up crystallized formaldehyde to vaporize it and kill every living thing (yes, that's an actual technique) you're not gonna get them all.

Kinda like the disclaimer that the wipe kills 99% of the germs. But man, that last 1% is a real bugger. I want to ask - do the same guys wipe down an ATM before using it? A gas pump? The coffee dispensing handle in the lounge? The crew room recliner? Every dollar bill in their pocket? Because there's far more contamination on those items. Do they wash their hands for a full 30-60 seconds with hot soapy water after using the restroom? I'm guessing no. The irony.

I fully understand that wiping stuff down won't come close to disinfecting the cockpit. Some guys to go over board with spray alcohol / Lysol everywhere. However, I do like to de-funk the table and some of the controls. More than once I have found only God knows what stuck to the FMS keys, Hand mic, tray tables or radio head...
