Default Just a question about hiring.

Just a question for you Jet Blue guys/gals. Has anyone gotten hired that only met the published mins? Just out of curiosity, everyone I know that has left from my company had a ton of PIC. Thanks in advance for your answer.

rumors abound that a few new hires that will be starting class in a few weeks are very, very low time.
it does not surprise me, JB is very short and with Majors recaling and proyected hiring , is going to be even more short handed. out of 24 guys in my class, only 5 looked at JB at their last stop( that was before they started flying the line, haven't seen them since IOE). everyone else was there because it was the only job they could get that was better , for whatever personal or proffesional reason at that point in time , than where they were before. But we all had our apps elsewhere and are just waiting.JB is good place to wait.

apply, you'll get the call.

Greedyairlineexec,

Would you be able to quantify the "very, very, low time" for the Jet Blue new hires.

Apollo

like I said they are just rumors about guys who were invited to the last round of interviews and/or who have been offered interviews( not one of them is in class yet) after the last open house, but the TT I have heard is less than 1500TT not military and no 121PIC. It could just be a rumor, but it might not. if you are interested, no matter of low you are on tt, go to the open house , once you get the required time they'll remeber you. it won't hurt .

Thanks for the great information. I was thinking of making the trip to Orlando for the next open house.

If anyone has the next date and time it would be appreciated.

Apollo

I would definitely go to the open house if you can swing it. At the Mar interview, the leadreship was talking about the one they had the previous month and how a lot of the guys there that day or coming to the Apr interview were at that last open house. I think if you go it will set you apart from the rest and may just edge out above others that are identical on paper. They get a chance to know your personality and when you get the call, you have a lot of info to use when answering questions.
