As for how many spots for each or the class size, I have no idea. If someone could chime in that would be helpful.

I'm really wondering how they're gonna staff the JFK220 base if they don't....y'know....staff the JFK220 base.

What do you mean? You know 190/JFK closes soon right?

It’s not like they have an immediate need for 220JFK new-hires….they opened the base too early. Trust me when I tell you there’s no shortage of A220 FOs currently or in the immediate future.

Speaking of the 220... I am starting soon and commute. If the 220 is offered out of JFK does anyone know roughly how long RSV is? Or to hold long call. I know BOS 190 is the best for short RSV times but curious about the 220. Thanks in advance!

My advice is, if you're a new hire and you're commuting, go to BOS 190. Honestly, it's the best thing you can do. Same pay, far better seniority, and you can leave it in 9 months if you want. People seem to be all bummed out when they get the 190, but it really is the pro move.

Plus, you will really appreciate the A220 so much more in terms of cockpit automation and comfort up front if you spend time in the E190 first....

New hires have a one year equipment lock starting on the first day of training. You may be awarded a position beyond that one year mark. A CA position less than that one year mark if it’s your first upgrade or if you’re displaced. My idea would be to bid 190 if available and wait for displacement. At that point you can bid any position in the company your seniority can hold regardless of availability.
