If you are so certain Jetblue will fail, why do you seem so worried and keep coming to this forum?

Is Jetblue's product anything like WOW or NAI? Last I checked, those were ULCCs with cheap fares. I don't think Jetblue really has that many cheap fares. Go compare some Jetblue fares with UAL or DL on competing routes. If you were talking about spirit or frontier failing at Europe like NAI or WOW, you'd be a little bit closer in your assessment. Jetblue has a better hard product than any US legacy carrier. More legroom, better seats/IFE, better wifi, etc. It's comical you compare JB to NAI. You guys started TED to try to compete with JB. You failed. You said JB's transcon mint would fail. It didn't. The legacies then tried to match the product.

You are really bad at trolling, but you keep doing it. Guessing JB didn't hire you back in the day or something. You sure have an axe to grind.

So to him jetblue is grow or die.

I guess he is troll or die?

These carriers have no feed on either end. They buy new planes and toss them on TATL and longer haul routes without any domestic support or brand recognition. Also the no frills approach for a 6-7+ hr flight is a tough sell.

We might succeed, we might not. But at least we have strong brand recognition and customer base on the US point of sale already. Why do we succeed on BOS/JFK-LAX/SFO? These were WB legacy dominated routes but we carved out a niche by offering a nice product at a reasonable price. Same philosophy going eastbound from BOS/JFK.

Absolutely agree. Stagnation is death. For a legacy carrier it is Chapter 11 to slash/burn and start over at square 1.

An open mind, a view outside your legacy bubble, and some respect for fellow pilots.

Bingo. Just like they would crush the mint transcons. They went from the weakest flights to the strongest for us and forced the majors to adapt new products. I don’t see why across the Atlantic is so different. We are not trying to take over just fly where the plane will make the most money. With the right plane right locations (Bos Jfk) and right product it will be just fine.

So comprehension is a problem for you...

Let's recap...

No narrow body Transatlantic operation has been successful, but JB will be.... why?

No, LCC, (but ohhh, you're fares are not the cheapest, so you're not really a LCC are you?) has been successful in the TransAtlantic market... but JB will be... why?

The Big Anticipated Announcement is...

We don't have the jet
We don't have the (ETOPS) cert
We don't have the actual UK airport.

What am I missing here?

The ability to comprehend nuanced and complex arguments?

The ignorance is strong with this one.

What are you missing? Culture man. We’ve got the culture. It’s the secret sauce. (That’s sarcasm if you were too stupid to get it)

It’s the JetBlue golden horse shoe.
Survived and grew in the death decade when every other airline was crapping out jobs. No mergers.... (not for lack of trying) but hey it’s a good one liner.

We killed TeD. We killed Song. We survived and thrived when other airlines died. We’re the blue **** roach. We’re like the plague. An evil virus within the industry that forces change and adaptation in every hope that something will kill us.... but we manage along. Slowly. We continue to profit and grow.

Maybe someone will kill us. Maybe we’ll kill the host. Maybe we’ll become a pandemic.

Maybe.
But as it turns out, others have done more with less.
