Most guys use the ship set. If you do use your own headset, make sure you plug in the ship set again after you are done!

I've never used a shipset in any A/C I've flown because it's disgusting. It's one thing to have to grab levers, control wheels/push buttons, but having a mic up to you lips that other guys just coughed, sneezed or did whatever on is beyond gross.

That's a Bingo.

Bose QC25 and UFlyMike.

Or don’t. I bring my own and I neatly wind up the ship set and leave it unplugged in the cubbie next the plug. Do your own receiving checks.

Classic TMAAT reflex response. You may have a future on an interview or recruitment team.

I keed ... I keed.

But not really!

A-hole move. Even as a guy who brought my own for a while, and occasionally still do, I get pi$$ed when guys are too lazy to leave the plane how you found it (or how it’s supposed to be).

Seat forward, vents open, shades up, headsets plugged in, trash removed. Surprised your captains don’t say anything to you about it.

I am diligent about keeping my work area clean and tidy. I just don’t see the need to unfurl the ship set and plug it back in after I neatly and professionally stow it. If the next guy needs it he will set it up or his own set as he sees fit.

What’s the captain gonna say, plug your headsets back in? I have no problem if he wants to do it but I won’t be. My job is the fcom, fom and that blue employee book thing. Plugging the ship set back in isn’t outlined in either of those, is it?
