B6 Profit Sharing
We got a passion email. I had a dream that I paid off my wife's car with it then took her to Europe.

Cash money is for major airline pilots. Maybe someday JB will be a major airline career destination. Until then, emails. Because Values. |

7:23 PM
SEA Seattle, WA (SEA) Flight number 207 10:02 PM LGB Long Beach, CA (LGB) 2h 39m ------------------------------- Maybe our profit sharing contributes to the fine imposed at LGB? So now we're scheduling into the curfew? Did we hire Rob again? (poor format- a SEA-LGB flight in APR) |

Similarly, one flight flown between 7 and 10 p.m. is equal to three daytime flights in regard to the noise they generate. With fewer flights being flown later at night this past year more room was created in the noise budget leading to the three additional supplemental slots being offered, he explained. |

Just screwing with the LGB slot system? Scheduling a flight after 10pm is guaranteed to require them to revoke slots they just gave out:
https://lbpost.com/news/more-supplem...-beach-airport now that’s actually funny |
I gotta say, the convoluted way they developed this formula in order to not share any of the record profits is what doesn’t sit well. And then all the ‘atta boy’ emails. It feels down right patronizing at times. Now basically making GPU usage mandatory on all turns in the FOM. I mean, do they not realize how much more the pilots would make them if they only spread some of that pie around? I don’t get it. At least at the regionals, you knew where you stood. Management would kick you in the teeth and tell you to get back to work.

Or maybe you are the writer. Lol |
I just don't get how they think we're getting hitting numbers with no profit sharing and no west coast base

so I haven't been paying much attention... it's already been calculated that we will get $0 each for profit sharing for 2019? or there is still more calculation to come and it will be a tiny bit more than $0?

Your NC "negotiated" (accepted the current formula) and "codified" it, and 74% of you agreed to it. Enjoy your $500!

Your anger may be misdirected, in this instance. Jetblue management doesn’t care about your buy-in, and your union can’t make them care. Fly the FOM and FARs. It’s the only thing you can do. |

The point of profit sharing, from the management side, is getting employee buy-in. It’s something that they pay for, something they purchase. If Delta decided they were done with that model tomorrow, they have 1000 accountants ready to hide the profits from their own formula in a perfectly legal way.

I mean they did just raise their bag fee to 40 a bag. They don’t care at all.

The pilot group could have voted the CBA down, but that was NEVER going to happen on the first CBA and even if the pilots had voted it down, I would bet my house that profit sharing wouldn't have been one of the things "leadership" would have been willing to revisit, for pure political/optical reasons. |
Happy Profit Sharing day!

Mgmt has continually changed the PS formula over the years to make sure it stays de minimus. We had decent payouts in 2015-16 and then mgmt changed the formula again to ensure that wouldn't happen any longer.
