Would it even make sense to utilize 3 full gates (or even close to that much) worth of flying with Mint? That seems like a lot, not sure if there are that many more markets that could support that?

Wouldn’t necessarily have to have more markets, but they could add more frequencies in existing markets. Or, perhaps there are actually more markets that could support it. I’d bet mint LAX-EWR could compete well with the UAL PS traffic for some who don’t want to make the trek to JFK.

If there aren’t enough Mint planes to go around then whatever frames it takes to utilize any rumored new gates. Shut down LGB and add capacity at LAX.

LAX-BUF performs quite well. There's a chance they could add more of those types of routes out of LAX in addition to premium transcon. Who knows. I'll be shocked if this rumor comes true anyway.
