Debt is cheap, we just got $1b at pretty good rates.
Private loans not available much longer I would guess...

At least not at good rates if this gets worse.

Not even close. This buys us till the Fall if we're lucky and this hysteria ends in 4-6 weeks.
Hands up anyone who thinks we will not furlough....

I agree that this buys us time until the Fall, I disagree that the hysteria and the aftermath of this virus will be over in 4-6 weeks. I appreciate your optimism though, and sure hope you’re right.

I have nothing of value to add, other than we made it to FL380 in 19 minutes today in a 321.

Not only that, but the senate democrats have decided that in order to take them airlines have to promise not to furlough. The amount of loans aren’t really enough, so virtually no airline will actually take the money.

Maybe partially true. Maybe not. Care to show your math?

It is ridiculous that some politicians have the audacity to try and protect the American airline employee. What's next, expecting airlines to spend the money on the airline and not buying back their own stock to inflate the value of executive stock grants? I just hope these politicians aren't so out of touch that they tell management they can't use the loans for executive bonuses... Throw the bums out!
