There are quite a few families very stressed out by this event. Caring!

Not to mention it’s nearly 10pm and First Officer schedules haven’t been posted yet.

Based on tonight's email from Giggity where she says all options on the table and they will be "very significant"... Hold on to your butts.

Was starting to wonder about the schedules myself, now starting to hear that might be happening in the next 48 hours.

Jo Jo just sent something. Doesn’t sound great. Like all of us I really hope hard decisions are made sooner than later to get us back on normal footing. Let’s all stay united and look out for each other.

Start by getting rid of stuff like Tech Ventures and other BS investments and start focusing on being an airline. The ”caring” value has been in full effect or lack thereof for pilots. They have been sitting on an MOU proposal by the union for weeks now to protect our safety and income, and they need more time to think about it. Absolutely ridiculous!

As far as schedules not up yet for FOs. Makes me think something is up.... and communication around this place sucks,
company and union!

CA awards didn’t post till later in the day, the day after bid closed. FO awards almost always take longer, not sure why but fairly recently they took an extra day as well.

I agree on the ALPA side. Be nice to hear something on the regular even if it’s a “hey, we are still here” email. My 2.

The contract allows 48 hours from the time it closes. Let's all take a deep breath and wait until 9am tomorrow morning to panic.

It has taken that long before on some months. I’m thinking summer / holiday. Not totally uncommon.

I think the lack of communication from The union is a little disheartening. I don’t think a Friday note email is really going to cut it.

I think they’re standing by for the next shoe to drop. As per PH’a email we should know more this week about May and summer reductions. The union won’t announce anything of substance before the company releases that info. Hopefully the Union is working with the company behind the scenes to protect our interests.

The fact is April schedules for FOs have not been published in time per CBA. There needs to be communication. Period. Even if there are adjustments for April, Capts have their schedules already, is this going to be a sneaky way to not having to pay protect FOs if they just don’t award them a schedule? We all know more changes will be coming, but ALPA really needs to step up and communicate much better, even if they don’t have any significant news to report.

I agree regarding the current bid they should say something as it’s officially delayed. “It’ll be out later today, it was delayed because ..... “

Perhaps they know something we don’t...such as domestic travel bans. In that case, they save money if they don’t have to pay protect. Something is up. Honestly the union needs to be on this right now. So far crickets...

You could always read the ALPA email like all pilots should do. For instance the one that was sent out on Friday night. I think you will find out that they talked about this.

Every pilot should read all they can about ALV's and TLV's. It is one of the best things we have in our contract. Period. Most pilots think that it is another kind of flux capacitor. These two terms are foundational. IMHO.

I do read the emails...did not see anything about not getting our schedules on time.

Last night I got a flica alert for 123 pairings that match my request. That was weird.

I think the company needs to step up and do a stand up PA every 15 minutes.

I agree with others, this may be their contract non-compliant way of not having to pay protect FOs for more April reductions. This should be a massive grievance for all FOs if that's what they do.

They've spent HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollar on stock buybacks the last few years. They've spent MILLIONS on executive bonuses, all while paying 0.0-0.2% to front line employees.

That money could have and should have been invested INTO the company or saved for a rainy day.

It's raining... And the employees shouldn't take the brunt of their bad planning.

The MEC’s lack of communication is a complete failure. What is in the table right now? What has the company approached them with? Has the company approached them with nothing? Anything?

IF the company never publishes the FO awards, I don't understand the "values" in screwing half the pilots out of their April ALVs, and pay protecting half.

I’m hearing more reductions in April and to expect some sort of communication and “plan” later today.

So don't pay protect the FOs, just the Captain's... And make the FOs rebid April, AGAIN.

you are aware the the company has 1.2 billion in the bank? Love it hate this place man, they have money in the bank. They planned for something. Might not meet you standards of planning. But they planned for something at least. Could be worse. Could have 0$ in the bank. As far as profit sharing, why do we even talk about this? We signed up for the profit sharing formula. Look, they built a good balance sheet, but will most likely prove to be not good enough.

The reality is that front line employees are going to be making a lot less money, and possibly even less than guarantee, on average, due to a few possibilities.

The company also said they won't be asking for government assistance.

With the stock buybacks, where the company spent more than $1 billion to buy back stock at $20 dollars a share, where the stock is now $11 bucks a share. Millions for tech ventures. Millions for executives.

The point is, as good as the balance sheet is, it likely won't be good enough, could have been MUCH better, and it will be the front line employees will be paying the price, while they received NONE of the benefits of the wasted money I mentioned.

MEC Email 11:45am:

April bid cancelled, rebid expected end of week.

Offering voluntary incentive lines, 50 hours, April and beyond.

Increased protection for sick time and high risk individuals in reference to COVID-19.

I’m glad the company is getting aggressive in April. Why fly 95% what we would have flown when clearly that’s massive over -capacity.

Overall, I’d call it a best case scenario.
Let’s hope it works.

I agree. But having $2 billion in the corporate bank account is almost twice as good as having $1 billion, I think, but I'm not good at public maffs.
