I also forgot, this analysis was also done before JB announced 40% capacity cuts from April into the summer.

Off by magnitudes is an understatement.

off by good or bad?

JB right now probably has 200-250 days of operating cash with some reasonable assumptions.

The article understated JBs abilities, by a lot.

It's actually quite inaccurate. Dramatically so.

As mentioned, it doesn't include the newly acquired $1 billion in liquid cash. But possibly most striking, is that it values JB's 1/3 of its fleet which is unencumbered, as well as JB's extraordinarily valuable slot portfolio, at only $200 million.

That's off by magnitudes.

not validating any of that article but the argument can be made that at THIS moment slots and used aircraft are not at peak values if needed to be liquidated.

True, but the value of other airline assets would also be dramatically down, but the article doesn't seem to show that for other airlines.

I believe the author made a gross error, somehow.

Cannot allow pay concessions. If they have to furlough, so be it, but furloughs are far down the FOG list because of cost. Plus, when things ramp up in January, theyll need every swingin D.
This is not coming back soon. Cuomo and Gruesome will keep Cali and NYC closed for 6 weeks minimum.

Yep...i think you are right...We dont give an inch on those pay concessions. At this point ( I saw someone mention USAIR2.0) if we give in we are stuck with it for years and years to come. Gotta keep thinking long game!

If we take pay cuts ...THE COMPANY WILL FURLOUGH ANYWAYS!!!

They get less pilots at a cheaper rate.

They are always playing the long game.
