Not surprised at all. It does seem like one step closer to the reality of furloughs, though. But I’m an eternal pessimist thanks to this industry.

Did anyone really think they’d be running more upgrades this year?

So basically ALPA emails says after June 1 bid awards or if you have training scheduled for May, will it be discontinued after June 1?
cheers

You won’t start at all if you’re upgrading or transitioning. There are several of us already in progress, and we are being told we’re going to be run through re-qual on our current seats. Even for guys already doing IOE on a new jet. (Way to **** 30 grand down the drain)

Since they’re canceling recurrent till May 15th, how will pilots re-bid. Do they go to the the bottom of the list? I was scheduled for May 1st and planing on RR in June. Will I lose my chance at RR in June?

Yep. I have my second to last transition OE trip tomorrow that’s still on my schedule. I wonder if they’ll get it off my schedule by tomorrow....oh well.

Most likely, unless you go in July, but If they offer individual VIL for June and beyond and you have any pre-assigned activities such as CQT, Vacation you won’t be able to bid on a VIL that month. I think they are close to getting more waivers from FAA on currency and CQT. I know some April recurrent guys that got canceled that will go in June.

From what I understand if your effective date was prior to June 1 you’ll finish.

my effective date was June 1. 320 transition is canceled. I’ve now got to bid for recurrent in June for the 190.

back to express.
