A couple of weeks ago I woke up at 0230 and decided to drop a trip that was 2 weeks out. In less than 2 minutes another pilot got awakened by the alert, decided he wanted it, logged on to Flica, went through the multiple steps needed to request said trip and had it approved.

All in less than 2 minutes at 2 friggin 30 in the morning.

I hope all you bot boys get fired.

I don’t think I’m any more of a douche than you are yourself. I mean dude, you sat on Flica and pressed refresh for 20 minutes... and still didn’t get the trip???? Give me a break. If you want to come on a Douche walk with me you can, but we must stay 6 feet apart.
Dipsh!t, I fully expect to be on the street in October. You couldn’t infer that from previous posts? Hence the 20 minutes spent trying to pick up a few extra dollars now. Since I was already watching TV, I didn’t see it as a ‘waste of time’. But you’re right, it was futile. Are we good? You ready for our douche walk? Wear your mask.

If you’re awake at 2:30am in the morning, what makes you assume there aren’t other pilots awake at that hour? We have pilots that commute from different time zones that probably saw your trip that starts two weeks out as a perfect opportunity to add some credit. Or maybe it was someone who’s sleep schedule is all messed up from just finishing a redeye. I hate the bot activity like the rest of us and I know it happens....but the majority of the time trips are being picked up without any funny business. A trip sitting in open time for roughly two minutes no matter what hour of the day seems legitimate to me especially during these desperate times.

I stopped wasting my time with Felt a while ago. You'll be happier if you do the same.

I totally see your point and have also had the same thoughts. However, this guy doesn't commute and doesn't do redeyes. Is it possible that he was awake and logged in to Flica at 0230? Yes. Probable? No.

not a bot

he was up at 2:10 am doing a 20 minute Flica refresh session... how are you going to keep up your endurance if you don’t do 20 minute click sessions at 2:30 am.

Not saying I told you so but I guess I am. I started the thread about open time on March 15th because I knew this was coming. Does anyone remember 2008 how bad it was? You couldnt even grab a Ponce red eye turn it was so bad. Bots were at their peek and it’s just resurfaced. It’s the same tactics being used. Checking CrewTrac, forcing trips into open time, etc. There are just too many legal loopholes that some exploit. I personally think their should always be 120hr cap but the company loves having these trips covered so they’ll never enforce discipline unless it’s WiFi inflight related

can you still see OT in crewtrac? I thought they disabled that a few years ago, although I’ve heard some special pilots can still see it there...
