They are making more than our guys who are still on training pay who got sent home before their LOE. I imagine most have second jobs. Several 30 hr DL guys are about to start at breeze next month. The check airman who left JB for DL in the beginning of March has a solid second job. I’d love to get 30 hours of delta pay and be able to work another job and be home every night.

just a hypothetical.

30x92= 2760
16% of 2760 = 441
vs
89x70=6230
16% of 6230 = 996

3201 vs 7226.......

That second job better be pretty good to be wishing you’re sitting at home every night vs working what 8 days a month right now? Please pass information along that you have where I can get a second job working 40 hours a week making 100$ an hour (to make up for that 4g a month that is missing) I’m an unskilled pilot.

While I agree that it’s not really a fair comparison, our pilots that got sent home before LOE are still on training pay. Fortunately, it was only 34 pilots vs. Delta’s 1941, or whatever their final number was (I know that’s little consolation for our people sitting home making $2,000 per month).

Agree w/Todd, not quite a fair comparison. Very small group of B6 training pilots affected, and at least they aren't completely on the street. Considering our A320/A220 rates are equal to Delta next May, and we have no furloughs (knock on wood), it will actually be an interesting future comparison. One could argue B6 is very attractive if we actually grow and have a positive recovery next summer, assuming a friends and family/leisure rebound before business travel. Of course, lot's of assumptions there, but with another stimulus bill (even if only $17B) and no B6 folks on the street, there is positive hope.

Hope can be good (insert sarcasm emoji)?

Would an extension of the PSP by Congress even help us avoid pilot furloughs? Unless Congress doesn’t come up with an agreement until later next year, I don’t think the bill would carry past May 1st, which is obviously when JetBlue pilots can be furloughed without further mitigation.

Honestly, I don’t think the vaccine is going to change anything.

I mean our government give people 1200 bucks and said no work. Stay home.

but if PSP goes through it should go through for 6 months from the date it’s signed. Mmm not October when Nancy said “don’t furlough” money is on the way. Remember that?

Anyways. That’s just my opinion. I don’t think the vaccine is going to change much as far as the amount of people traveling. Especially over the next year. Maybe summer 2022 back up to a level that people get called back.

yah that’s cool and all. But you know those people that send out $1200 for you friends and family? They really are the issue here. Plenty of people want to go places. Government is really putting a limit on that.

Why do people constantly post these ridiculous timelines that they have entirely pulled out of their asss. All your doing is adding undue stress to pilots and their families by throwing out these timelines. Both you and I have no idea if we furlough, how long a furlough would be, etc...
